Wintersport.com is designed for the sporty winter sports enthusiast looking for a top ski resort and a modern accommodation on base of apartments, located near the slopes, without many unnecessary bells and whistles.
Brief
The problem with many trip booking sites is that the user has to go to different sites to book (to purchase tickets, equipment rental, accommodation etc..). If you go with a group of friends, each member has to book independently and this creates a dilemma to manage everything while keeping an optimal cost. The client understands this problem and wants to create an evolutionary booking platform that provides every necessary things in one place and allow the user to customize accordingly to his preference
Challenges
The main challenge is the booking flow:
There are no similar platform in the market that allows you to customize your trip and choose to pay for your group members and see all the cost upfront
The site is targeted for a young generation and it should be mobile-friendly. All designs must be mobile-first and the steps in the booking flow should be as concise as possible.
Because a user can book for himself and other members, the flow should be flexible and the options in the next step changes based on the what he inputs in the previous step. For ex: The flow should be different if I select to pay for myself only vs I pay for 2 of my friends in the group.
I made a total of 4 rounds of wireframes to nail down the flow. On each round, I made a clickable prototype for testing because it involves a lot of logic decisions and trip cost calculation.
At the end of the Deal page, you can check the available offers for your selected period of time. You can input the number of visitors and the number of accommodation that you need. Clicking Book Now will lead you to the Sign in/Sign up page and then redirect you to the main booking flow.
BOOKING FLOW
Who is paying
If your trip has more than 1 visitor, you now have the option to just pay for yourself or pay for your friends. You also have the option to invite those who should pay for themself by typing their email address.
Select accomodation
Starting from this step, you can customize the trip for yourself and the person that you pay for.
If you selects 2 accommodations at the pre-booking flow, you can select where each member can stay. This design is customized to be as mobile-friendly as possible: The options are presented as cards and the user can quickly tap on the available spots to pick the members.
Select skipasses, equipment and transport
You can also change your skipass option for yourself and the one that you pay for.
Fill in personal info
Just like any booking platform, you need to fill in your name, address etc..
Review & confirm
At this final step, you can review all the things that you pay for before proceeding to deposit payment. Each member will have his own cost breakdown in terms of accommodation, skipasses, equipment & transport.

After the deposit is successfully made, you will be given an URL of a group page. You can share this to your friends to join and allow them to start customizing their trip and pay for themself.
