Stretch is an exciting new way for families to get organized and stay in sync. Stretch was designed for the whole family, with strong privacy controls so parents can decide what to share with kids, caregivers and even extended family members.

Brief

The problem is that most families use text, paper and email to organize and share their vital information or they don’t use anything at all. As parents, you can easily miss your kid’s events by not having their schedule, or you may forget what your kids need you to buy for their school activities.

This family software market is largely untapped. That’s why Stretch wants to give families an easy-to-use mobile app that stores information and offers instant search of their calendar, to-do list, health, wealth and other important information.

Challenges

Since there are a lot of areas of info to be managed (calendar, health, contacts, photos, files etc..), the app navigation needs to be well thought out so the user can easily switch from one area to the other.

Its UX architecture is similar to the Google ecosystem where you have multiple mini apps inside an app but the design should help the user get all the recent updates of his family members at a quick glance. At the same time, it still needs these powerful features to filter the info and see more data.

After entering your email address from the Start screens, the app will check if your email already exists in the system. If yes, you will be prompted to enter the password. You also have the option to get a magic link that's sent to your inbox.

Home (Today & Features)

To make sure that you receive all the updates quickly, the first page that you see is the Home page.

You can check today's events/reminders/chat in Today tab, or switch to Features tab to dig deeper, or go to the Stream tab to see a feed of recent news.

Home - Stream

This is where the facility admin can review the applicants and decide who to hire.
The yellow bubbles highlight the skills of that applicant that fit with the requirements. The facility can also see who is previously hired or who has countered his offer

Home - Stream

This tab pulls all the latest news from different info areas of the app. You can check if there are new photos/files or new contacts or to-do list. Other health issues of the family members or medication that they need to take are also listed here. Each info card is color-coded by the creator.

Financials

You can access each of the area like Financials by using the navigation of the Features tab in Home page. This page allows you to log your earning and spending by category and gives you a detailed report of spending by person.

Health

You can select a family member to see his health profile including blood type, height, weight, allergies etc.. If he chooses to connect with another health-tracking app like Withings, all the metrics will also be displayed.

Calendar

All member’s events are displayed in the Calendar. Each event is color coded by the event owner.
